4-Day Murchison Falls Safari

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your Gamba Uganda Safaris representative meets you after immigration and helps you settle into the first evening. There is no pressure to begin the safari loudly; this night is for rest, a calm briefing, and a gentle landing after your flight.

If you arrive early, we can add a light Entebbe visit or a short cultural stop around Kampala. If your flight is late, we keep it simple: transfer, dinner, and a quiet overnight before the road north.

After breakfast, your private guide leads the northbound drive toward Murchison Falls National Park. The road day is part of the safari, with comfort stops, countryside views, and time for your guide to set the story of Uganda's northern wilderness.

A guided hike to the top of Murchison Falls, a rewarding 1.4 kilometre walk through one of Uganda's most dramatic landscapes. The trail leads you to the powerful point where the Victoria Nile forces itself through a narrow 7 metre gorge before plunging 43 metres below.

Standing above the falls, you feel the force of the river, the thunder of the water, the spray in the air, and the sheer energy of nature unfolding in front of you. It is a moment that photographs rarely capture.

If daylight and road conditions allow, the final stretch toward the lodge becomes a first wildlife window, with your guide watching the evening movement across the park instead of rushing the arrival.

Your day begins early, when the savannah is cooler and wildlife is most active. With your experienced safari guide interpreting tracks, recent sightings, weather patterns, and the changing light, you explore patiently in search of Murchison Falls' iconic wildlife.
