Safari Overview
This is the shortest private Bwindi plan we would treat seriously: one full transfer into the southwest, one protected gorilla trekking day, and one full return day. It works best when the gorilla permit, lodge sector, and onward flight timing are checked before the quote is confirmed.
| Day | Experience |
|---|---|
| 1 | Scenic road transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi |
| 2 | Mountain gorilla trekking and optional afternoon activities |
| 3 | Return transfer to Kampala, Entebbe, hotel, or airport |

FocusRainforest trekking and one hour with a gorilla family.
OvernightBwindi Impenetrable National Park area.
Accommodation tier: Same Bwindi-area lodge or similar, keeping you close to the briefing point for the trekking sector assigned on your permit.
After an early breakfast, head to the park briefing point where rangers explain the rules, group allocation, and trekking conditions for the day. The walk can be short or demanding, but once the gorilla family is found, the pace changes: one quiet hour to watch feeding, grooming, play, and the small details that make the encounter stay with you.
- Gorilla trekking adventure
- Spend one hour observing the gorillas
- Photography and unforgettable wildlife encounters
- Return to lodge for relaxation
After the trek, return to the lodge to rest. If energy and timing allow, your guide can arrange a gentle community visit or short forest-edge walk without forcing the afternoon.
Note: Gorilla trekking is a physically demanding activity. Participants should be in good health and prepared for hiking in rugged terrain.

Before You Book This Short Gorilla Route
Three days can work beautifully for Bwindi, but the route depends on permit space, lodge position, and realistic road timing. Compare it with the 5-day gorilla and wildlife route if you want a softer finish before we turn your inquiry into a final quote.
- Permits firstGorilla permits are date-specific, so we confirm availability before locking the lodge sector or asking you to commit.
- Lodge matched to the sectorBwindi has multiple trekking sectors. Your lodge should support the confirmed permit location, not fight it.
- Final-day timing mattersIf your international flight is tight, we will advise an Entebbe night instead of pretending every road day is predictable.
- Payment after the written quoteYou approve the route, permit plan, lodge level, and invoice details before any payment step.
Itinerary Validity Checks
- Trekker ageGorilla trekking is for travelers aged 15 and above on the trekking date. Passport details may be needed to match each permit to the traveler.
- Permit matchThe itinerary is valid only when the gorilla permit date, Bwindi sector, lodge location, and traveler names line up. If one changes, the quote must be adjusted before confirmation.
- Road timingDay 1 and Day 3 are full road days. We do not treat the final return as safe for a tight same-night international flight.
- Trek durationThe forest walk can be short, muddy, steep, or several hours long. The one-hour gorilla viewing window begins only after the assigned family is reached.
- Health on trek dayTravelers with flu, fever, heavy cough, or symptoms that risk the gorillas should not enter the forest. Tell us early about knee, back, mobility, or altitude concerns.
- What can changeRanger allocation, permit sector, lodge availability, weather, road works, and flight timing can shift the final order. We confirm those before presenting the safari as ready to book.

This planning price is based on two travellers using standard accommodation, with the gorilla permit, private vehicle, driver-guide, listed meals, and transfers included where shown in your written proposal.
